The Monster Spelling Piano app for tablets
During the Speech Sound Play Plan, toggle to the Speech Sound Monsters® (Phonemies®) so that the focus is on strengthening phonemic awareness and phonological working memory. Children still see the Sound Pics® (graphemes), whether Phonemies® are toggled on or off. Phonemies® are IPA phonetic symbols for kids.

✨ The old SSP Spelling Piano app had over 18k downloads, mainly in Australia, and was developed with University students at Griffith University on the Gold Coast Queensland, where we were based.
The app has now been rebuilt and relaunched as Monster Spelling Piano®, with even more features. Children can now master over 100 high-frequency words like many, where letters represent different sounds than in the phonics tabs.
