Some children are lucky. They have parents who read to them. They grow up surrounded by books, immersed in stories. But not all children are so fortunate. Many have no one to read to them.

That’s why we’ve introduced the 10-day 'Letters and Sounds' alternative Phase 1 with Phonemies programme for reception teachers—to ensure all children are ready to learn phonics. Also the perfect immunisation against illiteracy when used in the early years! Use it before using any phonics programme. 

And we’re not stopping there. This Phonemic Awareness Mastery programme (Speech Sound Play with Phonemies) introduces parents and children to the tech that allows kids to self-teach reading and spelling—ideal for neurodivergent learners and life-changing for children without someone to read to them.

Because while not every child has bedtime stories, most parents have a phone or tablet their child can use. Some may even want to learn to read alongside their child.
